Present Course Layout

The Westfield Golf & Country Club is a 5,804-yard layout from the white tees.
The rolling hills and small greens make it play significantly longer.
A four hour round of golf is the norm at our course.

Take a tour of our present layout.

The present amateur competitive course record holder is Herrick Hansen from Aroostook Valley Country Club. He set a new record of 63 in the 2nd round of the 2005 New Brunswick Senior Championship.  His round bettered the 64 set by Yannick Lang during the 1993 New Brunswick Junior Championship.  Two professional golfers have also recorded 63's at Westfield on the old layout.  Florentino Molinas from Argentina set the standard during the 1st round of the 1974 CPGA Peter Jackson Atlantic Open.  The legendary Moe Norman shot this same score during the 1st round of the 1977 CPGA Peter Jackson event.

One week after Herrick's feat, 3 time club champion Dave Allen played a casual round recording a cool 62! This was also matched by former assistant pro Jon Garron in 2006.

Here is a sample of some of our holes:

Hole # 4
Hole4.gif (142596 bytes)

This is an uphill 418-yard Par 4. It requires a solid drive over a pond up the left side of the fairway. This will leave you with a long iron to the green tucked on the right.  Par is a premium.
mirror.gif (218141 bytes) This is a par 4 with a pond 200 yards from the tee. It requires a lay-up iron then an approach shot to a green that is guarded by two bunkers. Use the mirror before hitting.

Hole # 7

Hole # 8
hole8back.gif (170327 bytes)

A very picturesque hole that features a beautiful view of the lower Saint John Valley looking towards the Kennebecasis River.  A lay up with a fairway wood or long iron will leave a short iron into the green. Avoid the two bunkers that frame the front of the green.

Hole # 12
Hole12.JPG (54069 bytes)

This is our most difficult Par 3. This 200 yard hole has woods to the left and out-of-bounds to the right. A par here brings a smile to the face of the most experienced golfers.

 OUR SIGNATURE HOLE
Hole # 16

Hole16Fall_edited.JPG (63420 bytes) Excellent shot making is required on this demanding 444-yard Par 4.  A well-placed drive will leave a mid-to-long iron to a green that is surrounded by obstacles.  A bunker on the left will save you from going out of bounds. An errant shot over the four-tiered green will leave you a 100-foot uphill shot back to the pin.  Accuracy is a must to avoid a big score on this hole.

Hole # 18

This is perhaps the most scenic hole on the course looking towards the clubhouse with the Westfield ferry in the background. This 184-yard par 3 requires precise club selection.  A par here is a wonderful way to finish off a round here at Westfield Golf & Country Club.
