PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE by Judy Comeau

O

n behalf  of the Board, I hope all members had a Merry Christmas and I extend best wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Your 2005-2006 Board is hard at work, having met twice to develop the goals for the coming season, reviewed the auditor’s statement and considered the 2006 budget.

Obviously, all goals will be derived from the Strategic Plan and the membership will be kept informed. Those of you enjoying the winter walks on the course will note the trenches on 17 and between 4 and 8. Hopefully this will help drain those areas quicker in the spring. If our financial situation improves we will look to the membership for approval to complete the pond expansion in the fall of 2006.

We are presently reviewing our options for the maintenance shed replacement (a must) and we will report to the membership as soon as we have the most practical and economic way to proceed.

You will enjoy a second washroom this summer out by the forward tee on thirteen.

The Board will be setting up a committee to review how we do business and we will be reviewing the clubhouse, pro shop, carts, trail fees, green fees, starter and course marshal – in other words we will be looking for ways to improve our financial situation and improve delivery of service to members.

We hope to see everyone at the Semi -Annual meeting on January 14, 2006 where the audit for 2005, the budget for 2006 is presented and dues are discussed.

MANAGER’S NOTES by Noel Wittrien

D

on’t forget the Semi-Annual Meeting on January 14th at 10:30am. This is an important meeting with agenda items including dues and budgets for 2006.

The Club is looking for volunteers to perform the duties of starter and course marshal. We all are aware of the importance of these two positions in controlling the pace of play and welcoming new members and guests to our Club. Anyone interested in helping is asked to contact the office.

We may be able to provide limited space for storage and charging of battery powered caddies. Requests for this service will be considered based on the order in which the requests are received. If you are interested in this service please contact the office. (757-2250)
